Amarro is a supporting character in the 2016 GMA Filipino telefantasya series, Encantadia. He is the father of Aquil. He is played by Alfred Vargas, the same actor who originally portrayed Aquil in the 2005 series and who also originally portrayed Amarro in Etheria.
Profile[]
Amarro is known to be close to the Hathors, so close that he became a spy for them. His betrayal led his soul be sent to Balaak after his demise in the Etherian War.
Story[]
Prior to Debut Appearance[]
Amarro, father of Aquil. The former Mashna of the Lirean army, is also known for his skills as a blacksmith of Lireo. He honed his skills in crafting weapons from the Ancient Hathoria, the kingdom where the best sword and armor smiths were an expertise. His possible mentors were Bartimus and Vish'ka during a time when Etheria was just rising to power and the four territories were at peace.
Debut Appearance[]

Asval commanded the Hadezars to leave for Lireo but he noticed a Hadezar not moving from where he is standing. He told him to proceed to Lireo and the hadezar left. The Hadezar lowered his hood and he is revealed to be Amarro.
Trivia[]
- Alfred Vargas is one of the two from the 2005 cast who got to wear their costume from the 2005 series the other being Diana Zubiri.
- His relationship with LilaSari is similar in both Danaya and Aquil's relationship in the 2005 series.
- In the 2005 version, he possessed both Diwata and Hathorian blood, whereas in the 2016 series, he was portrayed as a pure-blooded Diwata.
