Apitong is a supporting character from the Philippine fantasy series Encantadia produced by GMA Network. He has been missing in action since the Ybrahim Arc; but in Pamamaalam, he sent Ybrahim a letter with a map and Ybrahim sends his Mashna Mayca to fetch Apitong.
Profile[]
He is the leader of a group of bandits living at a land within the mountains of Adjantao. After finding the infant Rehav (prince) of Sapiro in the arms of his dying mother, Apitong took the boy and eventually became the adoptive father of Ybrahim, whom he named Ybarro.
Story[]
Debut Appearance[]
During the war of Sapiro and Hathoria, he brought Ybrahim home to the mountains of Adjantao and raised him like his own son, supporting him on pursuing Alena. However, he will often remind and advise him to do the right thing especially when he found out that Ybarro is the father of the daughter of the Queen of Lireo. Amihan then came to visit their camp wanting to meet Ybarro, while waiting for him Apitong told them about their state. Amihan would eventually give the ownership of the land as an expression of gratitude for being their allies. The time when Apitong would tell Ybarro of his true identity eventually came when Ybarro discovered his ability to heal, furthermore an Encantado told him only the Encantados who have the ability to heal are Sapiryans. Ybarro got angry with him for not telling this sooner and left their caml with Pako and Wantuk to know more about his past.
Pako and Wantuk came back with the news that Ybarro is dead. Apitong would not believe unless he sees his body so he started to search for his remains. On his search, he came across Sang'gre Alena who is also searching for Ybarro's remains. They decided to search together for his remains throughout Encantadia but their efforts were futile as no remains were found. Unexpectedly Pako and Wantuk caught Ybarro in their bait and brought him back to their camp he scolded Ybarro for making them worried but eventually forgives him because he is his foster son after all. Asval later came to their camp to double on whether Ybarro is around.
Missing in action[]
Ybarro mentioned that Apitong left to gather allies who could help them in liberating Lireo but even after Lireo was liberated, there was no news about Apitong.
Sent Letter[]
Mashna Mayca gave Rama Ybrahim a letter that is said was from Apitong. A map is written in the letter and it looks like he needs help. Ybrahim sent Mayca to the location the map points out to.
Speculations[]
- While Apitong was looking for recruits before the events of the Liberating Lireo Arc, he must've stumbled upon the Ice Kingdom owned by Cassiopea's sister. He must've been trapped there but found a way to write a letter to Ybrahim to ask for help.
