Aquil is a supporting character in Encantadia, a television series in the Philippines being aired by GMA Network. Filipino actor Alfred Vargas played Aquil in the Encantadia series while Filipino child actor BJ Forbes plays the young Aquil in Etheria. Alvin Aragon played the teenage Aquil in Book 1 but appeared only in episode 143.
Backstory[]
Original Timeline
Aquil was not involved in the Etherian War.
Sang'gres' Intervention
Aquil saw the cruelty of the Etherians and wanted to fight. Amarro scolded him and says that he should not involve himself with the battles. Aquil begged Ybrahim to teach him how to fight.
Profile[]

Aquil is the leader of the army of Lireo and the son of the Lirean soldier Amarro. In the story, Danaya fell in love with him. He is the most trusted and loyal soldier of Minea and Amihan during their reign and resisted the invasion of the Hathors lead by Pirena and Hagorn. After the Invasion of Lireo, Aquil found himself in the lair of Cassiopea, where the former queen treated his wounds. He left to search for surviving Lireo soldiers, his search led him to the Place of the Mandirigmas (warriors).
Aquil was also the first one to see Danaya's return to Encantadia. During this time he was in search for Lireo soldiers with the help of Apek and Wantuk (Ybarro's companions). After Amihan's escape he has gathered more soldiers and introduces a new weapon, the Encantadian equivalent of a flash bomb.
During Amihan's attack at the castle with the Mulawins he seems to be angry at Bagwis for stealing much of Danaya's attention. Aquil was mortally wounded in the final battle against the Hathors and he refused to be healed by Danaya thus, he dies in her arms.
Etheria (Book 2)[]
Aquil was still a child that time. Aquil vowed not to be a coward like his father. He asked Ybrahim to teach him how to handle a sword and how to fight.
Encantadia Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas (Book 3)[]
Mine-a asked Aquil to return to Encantadia because she felt that there is a threat to the peace between her daughters. Aquil returns from Devas to help the Sang'gres in their battle and to regain the love of Danaya.
The reason of his death[]
Aquil felt heartbroken when Danaya was cold to him. He revealed to Muros and Imaw that Danaya was so hard to reach that's why he chose to die instead and now that he came from Devas which can equal to a royalty, he still cannot reach Danaya.
Second Life[]
After Emre has granted him a second life through a white butterfly, Aquil is finally with Danaya and they had a child at the end of the last war of Encantadia.
Powers, Abilities and Weaponry[]
Aquil stabbing Ether.
Aquil inherited his father's swords. However when he became the captain of the army of Lireo, he used a single sword. After returning from Devas, Aquil can teleport. Aquil's notable feat was injuring and almost killing Bathalumang Ether. He had summoned the powers of Devas to his sword and stabbed Ether.
Trivia[]
- There is Hathor blood in Aquil, due to reason that his father was half Hathor and half Lirean. However, in the 2016 series, he was a pure-blooded diwata.
