Asnara is a minor character from the Philippine fantasy series Encantadia produced by GMA Network. Asnara was the queen of Sapiro before its downfall during the war between Sapiro and Hathoria. She is played by Jaycee Parker.

Profile

Asnara was the queen of Sapiro at the beginning of the series and the latest since Ybrahim never married. She is the wife of King Armeo and the mother of Prince (later King) Ybrahim. She was murdered by Hagorn's half-sister and right-hand, Agane, when they were ambushed by Hathor Assassins during their evacuation. At the time she was killed, she can't heal herself due to Emre's will for her to go to Devas. She entrusted Ybrahim to Apitong before she died.

Personality

As a queen, she is shown to be royal and elite. But in spite of being a royalty, she is shown to be a loving wife and mother, often worrying about the King's battles. She is also shown to be brave, having to face Agane in a short duel.

Powers and Abilities

Queen Asnara, as a Sapiro royalty has a unique ability of healing herself from any injuries. And as a full-blooded Sapiryan, it can be assumed that she also possess the power of detecting Earth's minerals, and maybe, even the rare ability to talk to animals. As a Queen, it can be expected that she was a skilled fighter.

Story

She first appeared carrying Ybrahim on Episode 1, wishing her Husband, King Armeo luck as he prepares to battle Hathoria. She was killed on Episode 3, when Agane and some of the Hathors ambushed their entourage as they evacuate Sapiro.

Trivia

• Her counterpart in Encantadia (2005) is Mayne their only differences are their names and their roles, as Mayne was a recurring character.
• Her name was never stated throughout the series, though, in a trivia in the Encantadia game, "Encantadia Blast", she is revealed to be named Queen Asnara.
  • The developer of the game may have based it on the Encantadia 2005 article in Wikipedia because way back in the year 2005, the wife of Armeo was mistakenly addressed by fans as Asnara, but the article is now corrected.
