Balbal is a minor character from the Philippine fantasy television series Encantadia, produced by GMA Network. He is the guardian of the Labyrinth of Balbal. Balbal was created by the Bathalumang Ether to be the guardian of the Labyrinth and the Gintong Binhi. He attacks any intruder who attempts to steal any treasure in the Labyrinth.

Story []
Balbal was created by Ether after the Bathaluman took the Gintong Binhi from Emre. Ether hid the Gintong Binhi in the Labyrinth of Balbal and made Balbal guard it. Aside from the Gintong Binhi, there is also treaure there, that is why many treasure hunters sought for the treasure but they failed. When Lira was stabbed by Hagorn, Danaya tried everything in order to bring her back to life, then Pagaspas told them about the Gintong Binhi and warned them about the dangerous Balbal but even though it is very dangerous, Danaya and Lakan ventured out to find the Gintong Binhi. Unaware to Danaya and Lakan, bandidos are also after the treasure, when the bandidos started hitting Balbal and trapped him in a net, Danaya and Lakan saved Balbal by asking the Bandidos not to hurt Balbal and Danaya summoned her gem telling the bandidos to leave now while they still have the chance to live, after freeing Balbal he gave them the Gintong Binhi as a token of gratitude and they were worthy of it.
