This page contains different information about Devas from Encantadia 2005, 2016 and Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre (2025).
Devas is a divine and legendary continent that is not easily accessible from the world of Encantadia. Devas is visible and can see by naked eye from Encantadia, but it's hard to see and travel there because of many dangers along the way. Devas is considered as the sacred ground and resting place of all the Encantados who passed away and lived a good life.

Description and Geography[]
Devas is a golden building at the sky. Kahlil described Devas as a wonderful place because it is where you can see everything and where you can get the explanations to every happening. It is the place where you can find serenity and peace.
Background and History[]
Devas is a place in Encantadia, where Encantados who passed away go to rest. It is considered the heaven of Encantadia, and also the home of the Emre.
This is where Encantados go when they pass away. Although, some Encantados can go here temporarily even when they are still alive. One example of this is Lira's mission to meet Mine-a in Devas. Those Encantados cannot remember what they've seen in Devas.
Some Encantados from Devas can also come back to Encantadia with permission from Emre like for example when Raquim returned to teach and free Ybrahim in Sapiro and notably, Aquil when he returns to Lireo to aid Danaya and the other Sang'gres.
When an Encantado dies, butterflies from Devas come to them as a sign that they are taking them to Devas, The spirit of the Encantado then travels though the sky on a floating rock called Limbo that takes you to Devas. If the Encantado desires to not go to Devas, they must fight and defeat the powerful dragon deity, Arde, the brother of Bathala, who guards the Limbo.
Concept of Death[]
The residents of Devas convene after Lira came to Devas.
In Encantadia's universe, once an Encantado (except those of full blooded-Hathors) died, they will be fetched by the colorful butterflies of Devas to be escorted to the heavenly realm. After a few minutes of surrounding the dead body, they will glow and teleport the body to Devas. The Encantado/Encantada also can fight their death such as Amihan who vowed not to die yet which resulted to the lines on her palm being erased making her in control of her destiny and Alena who became a flower to evade death.
Encantadia (2016-2025)[]
Devas is home to souls worthy such as being a good encantado or was originally bad but eventually redeemed himself/herself such as Hitano.
Description and Geography[]
Devas is a group of huge islands surrounded by clear clouds. It is floating in the middle of a vast forest and mountain ranges and said to be located in the far south of the world of Encantadia. Outside Emre's palace is a huge garden with lots of trees (notably the tree of life) and a river that flows infinitely. The Encantados who are residing in Devas can often interact with Emre, who is benevolent and welcoming to all his constituents. It is described by Wahid as a palace in the clouds, which is true enough as it is seen on the episode, Balakid.
Ades was the first to be an ivtre. She was assigned to escort Lira's soul to Devas, she is also the one who tested and gave Lira the blessing from all of her ancestors. Then later, Kahlil and Amihan (after her death and before her reincarnation).
Devas was controlled by Bathalang Arde and Bathalumang Ether, with the aid of Keros assaulted Emre, successfully stealing Devas in the process. After Emre's banishment, the three gods took control over Devas which resulted to catastrophic changes in the realm.
Concept of Death (2016-2025)[]
The lore of the soul and butterflies were expanded. The Ivtre and Retre concept was introduced. The retres collect the body along with the soul of the deceased and guide them to Devas. The ivtre then resides in Devas and could interact with Bathalang Emre. The ivtre also has an option to become a sarkosi by eating the fruit from the tree of life but with Emre's permission. There is a place made by the Devas where Ivtre can have private talks that Emre cannot hear. This place is important to Encantados who want to rebel against Emre and wants to escaped from Devas. It suggests that free will might exist. If an Ivtre escapes from Devas, they are followed by the spirits of Gulmurok from Balaak. Those Ivtre are caught and taken to Balaak forever because of Emre's cursed.

Known residents in Devas[]
- Emre (before being expelled by the other bathalas; after retrieving Devas he rules it once again with the help of Cassiopea and other Ivtres. Emre is now dead. Even though Bathalas are powerful gods in Encantadia, they can still die and go to the realm of celestial beings. Emre knew his fate he was destined to be killed because he was betrayed by his own creations, just like how Aquil and Azulan killed him. When a Bathala dies, a new one rises, and this new Bathala will bring destruction to Encantadia)
- Cassiopea (after she was resurrected and elevated into a goddess by Emre to become a ruler of Devas with him. Bathalumang Cassiopeia is now the ruler of the Devas, just as Emre once was. She guides and manages the deceased encantado's and oversees Encantadia, ensuring balance and order among them.

Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre[]
Background and History[]
Devas has greatly expanded with a huge statue of Emre on one of its halls. It is no longer above a vast mountain range rather, a place with a grand, classical-style architecture and towering structures. The place is also filled with trees bearing orange, red and gold (CGI shows red) leaves. Although a huge and wide place it has few souls visible due to most souls having found peace and chose to be part of nature within Devas instead.
A gatekeeper named Ec'naad was assigned to guard the gate of Devas and the living need to die temporarily to be able to enter since only ivtres are now allowed in Devas.
Concept of Death[]
Amihan said an Ivtre who attained absolute peace becomes part of the sunlight, the wind, the clouds of Devas completely casting away their past life while souls who have yet to find peace remain an ivtre.
Known residents in Devas[]
- Amihan (until her soul was transferred to Ariana and performed a reincarnation, recently back after being turned back into an Ivtre by Emre)
- Gaiea (after dying in the human realm until the retres made her Ivtre travel back to Devas)
- Aquil (after dying in the human realm until the retres made his Ivtre travel back to Devas)

Name Etymology[]

Trivia[]
- Devas can be accessible by a chosen few, with permission from Emre.
- If living Encantados want to enter Devas, they must pass tests and challenges from Ec’naad, the gatekeeper, and use a poniard to temporarily kill themselves because only the dead can enter. In the 2016 version, living people can go to Devas, so the rules must have changed after Arde and the guardians were defeated.
- Once an Ivtre is welcomed in Devas, they will possess the standard ability of Ivictus, sacred protection from normal harm, and the ability to slay other Ivtres, like Hadezars that were sent to Balaak after death. And other abilities will be granted by Emre, if he sees it fit.
- In the 2005 version, there are other dead Encantados who can go back to Encantadia permanently, gaining a second life in the process, either by granting a wish to resurrect and live again with Emre's consent or without Emre's consent, such as Aquil who has been granted a second life by Bathala, due to Danaya's wish, after the war in Encantadia in order to be with Danaya, and also Lira who came back to Encantadia to aid the Sang'gres and to reunite with Cassandra despite her wish not having the consent from Emre (but with the help of Armeo) but in consequence, the death of her father, Ybrahim
