Mayca is a minor character in the Filipino television fantasy series, Encantadia. She is the Mashna of the Sapiryan Army who used to be a henchman of Adhara, during her quest to become the ruler of Lireo, as well as LiraSari, when she was the queen of Lireo. She is portrayed by Cheska Iñigo who originally played the role of Galatea in the 2005 series.
Personality[]
It can be implied that Mayca committed a crime to be sent in Carcero, showing that Mayca is capable of doing evil acts when circumstances arise. Mayca was also treacherous, scheming with Asval against Pirena after LiraSari decided to give up her ambitions of becoming a queen to live a simple life with Hitano and Deshna. Despite all her evil characteristics, Mayca also possesses something good in her. She has proven her loyalty to the people who shared her interests. She was also compassionate towards her sister Kayzan and would do anything to get her out of trouble. She was also forgiving towards the diwatas after the latter asked pardon for what the Guards of the Carcero did to them.
Story[]
Mayca is a diwata imprisoned in Carcero. She is one of the diwatas to befriend Adhara during her arrival back to encantadia. In Carcero, the two plotted in escaping the prison. Once out of the prison, Mayca served Adhara as a henchman together with LiraSari in defeating the diwatas. She pledged her allegiance to Adhara when the latter proposed that LiraSari be married to Hagorn and once she is queen, Adhara will dethrone her and become the queen of Lireo.
After Adhara's death, she pledged herself to LiraSari, and served as one of her Damas. When LiraSari gave her elemental gem to Amihan and decided to go to the Mortal world, she allied with Asval in taking back the Kingdom of Sapiro. She pretended to be a follower of Pirena during the reign of the latter and planned to kill her once she is no use to their group. Unbeknownst to her, Pirena knew their plan. As a result, she was sent to sleep by adding something to their food during their feast. When Pirena killed Asval, she allied with the Diwatas to dethrone Pirena. She has ever since, become a follower of Ybrahim, becoming his mashna during the re-establishment of the Kingdom of Sapiro.
