Meno is a fictional character from the Filipino fantasy-themed television saga Encantadia produced by GMA Network. Meno is played by Filipino actor Gary Estrada.
Backstory[]
Original Timeline
Meno refused to surrender Asval and his companions who killed Animus to Etheria. This decision started the war with Etheria. However, the Etherians were too strong so Meno told everyone to retreat. He and the other leaders asked for Emre's help. They were given the Brilyante ng mga Elemento to use against Etheria.
Sang'gres' Intervention
Meno's biggest regret was choosing the throne over his true love Agartha. He admired Raquim and Mine-a choosing love over duty. Raquim's decision gave Meno the courage to appear at Agartha's residence. It was revealed that Agartha had a son named Gion. Meno checked his back and saw the birthmark of a Sapiryan confirming he is their son. This happened before the war against Etheria began which made Asval angry and betray Meno during the war. Meno declared Asval a traitor and banned him from Sapiro.
Etheria (Book 2)[]
Meno was the current king of Sapiro. In both the original and altered timeline, Meno was the leader of the council of Encantadia and was the decision maker. In the altered timeline Raquim brought a Vakar for Meno to enhance his health and raise the possibilities of having a child. Meno told him if he had a son, he will name it after Raquim's father, Armeo. However, soldiers from Etheria came to retrieve the Vakar since it is owned by Hera Odessa. Raquim accepted the punishment so that Meno wouldn't be put into embarrassment. It was later revealed that he often dresses like an ordinary Encantado and visits a place but never had the courage to go near. After Raquim and Mine-a escaped, Meno decided to visit Agartha but she was already dead. Agartha's son was introduced to him and Meno asked who was her husband. It was revealed that Agartha never married and Gion was her son when she was still a teen. Meno looked at Gion's back and saw the mark of a Sapiryan. He embraced Gion upon knowing he is his son. He brought back Gion to Sapiro and introduced him as Armeo, his heir. Asval was unhappy with this and betrayed Meno by stabbing him causing him to fall unconscious to the ground. Asval thought he had killed Meno and returned to Sapiro to kill his queen and Armeo but Raquim prevented him. Meno, still wounded, arrived. Asval was surprised that he was alive. Meno reminded him of their ability to heal themself. Asval battled Raquim and Meno but saw he was at a disadvantage and escaped using his newly acquired power. Meno declared him as a traitor and banned him from Sapiro. The four races, like in the original timeline, were victorious against Etheria.
Personality[]
Meno is a valiant, wise and compassionate king, he is a very sensible decision-maker and poses a soft side in some occasions. He is fond of his nephew Raquim seeing him more of a son than a nephew. He always dreamed of having an heir but he and his queen were never blessed, that's why when he found out he has a son with Agartha, he was very happy.

- Meno's counterpart in the 2016 series is Menno, their only known difference so far is their name spelling.
